Iran wins bronze in wrestling

With two gold and one silver medals, Iran became third at the 2007 Junior World Wrestling Championship in China. 561.jpg

Reza Asadpour and Amir Ali Akbari snatched the gold medals in 50kg and 84kg category and Davoud Gil-Neyrang grabbed a silver medal in 96kg of the Greco-Roman world wrestling championship.
Russia became first and won the championship cup with 49 points while Kazakhstan became second in the competition with 45 points and Iran won the third place cup with 39 points.The championship attracted nearly 600 wrestlers from 60 countries.

Iran sent how many people to the Olympics? And all they got was just 1 bronze medal? That’s pretty sad.
On the other hand, Afghanistan, one of the most impoverished countries on the planet, only sent like 3 athletes and managed to get the same thing. Once again, that’s pretty sad.
